Emma Elias is a Lebanese-Australian director, cinematographer and photographer based in Sydney, Australia. Her work stands to tell stories with the utmost empathy and sincerity. She alchemises story into visual landscapes with passion, spanning across narrative, commercial, music and dance projects.

Her recent work includes AACTA nominated Dependent (2025), and currently in distribution, An Elephant (2026) and Five Minute Call (2026) starring Simon Burke and Helen Dallimore. In 2019 she directed the award winning Toward The Rain - Taikoz (2019) and in her early career shot 600 Bottles of Wine (2017) which premiered on Network 10 in Australia, and later distributed by Netflix.

Her family heritage guides her drive to tell human-centric stories, using her work as an instrument for joy and deep connection to her practice. She welcomes collaborations and loves a good coffee.
